Job summary

Kent is seeking an Account Payable Accountant to be based in Mumbai, India. The role involves end-to-end AP processing, supplier setup and payments, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financials.

The ideal candidate will have a university degree in accounting and 2–5 years of corporate experience, with strong communication and organizational skills. Includes health benefits and a collaborative, safety‑driven work culture.

  • 2–5 years of experience in a corporate environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and reconciliation of Accounts Payable ageing.
  • Three-way matching.
  • Supplier setup and payment details.
  • Verify, record and resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Set up payment runs with supporting documents and approvals.
  • Review, posting and payment of expense claims.
  • Maintain necessary documentation and correspondence.
  • Monitor Corporate Payable mailbox and respond to vendor/employee queries.
  • Bank transactions, payments and reconciliations.
  • Intercompany fund transfers.
  • Assist with audit requests.

About the job:

Kent is looking for an Account PayableAccountant to be based in Mumbai, India.

Skills andResponsibilities
  • Monitoring and reconciliation of Accounts Payable Ageing
  • Three-way matching
  • Supplier set-up and payment details
  • Verify, record and resolve any invoice discrepancies
  • Set-up of payment runs including checking back-up and approval
  • Review, posting and payment of expense claims
  • Maintain necessary documentation and correspondence
  • Monitor and maintain Corporate Payable mailbox
  • Respond to vendor and employee follow ups and queries
  • Bank transactions, payments and bank reconciliations
  • Intercompany fund transfer
  • Assist with audit requests as required

Assist with as-building deliverables In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Yourknowledge/skills,education,andexperience:
  • University Degree in accounting or semi qualified
