Job summary

Deccan Nutraceuticals Pvt. Ltd. in Pune is seeking an Accounts Manager to oversee accounting operations, budgeting, statutory compliance, and financial controls.

The role requires 8+ years of experience in finance, preferably in manufacturing or nutraceutical sectors, and reports to the Finance Head / MD. Immediate joining is preferred. The ideal candidate will lead the Accounts team, ensure timely financial reporting, and drive process improvements and automation initiatives within the finance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce is mandatory.
• CA/Inter CA, CMA, or MBA (Finance) is preferred.
• CA/Half CA qualification is required with any other degree.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in Finance & Accounts.
• Experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, FMCG, or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP/TallyPrime, ERP systems, Excel, Zoho Books, and ERPNext.
• Experience in preparing financial statements, MIS reports, audits, and management reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly auditing of the Accounts team, and MIS statements.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure GST, TDS, Income Tax compliance and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
• Plan cash flow, working capital, and fund management.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Maintain Fixed Asset Registers and inventory accounting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Mentor Accounts team to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Support management with financial analysis and MIS reports.
• Handle payroll accounting and statutory employee compliance where applicable.
• Identify automation opportunities and system upgrades.
• Mentor the Assistant Accounts Manager.

Job Summary -

Deccan Nutraceuticals Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Manager to oversee the company's accounting operations, financial planning and reporting, statutory compliance, taxation, budgeting, and financial controls.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in the manufacturing, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, FMCG, or related industry. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, statutory compliance, efficient accounting processes, and timely financial reporting to support management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities -

• Manage and oversee the monthly auditing of the Accounts team, including day-to-day activities, accounting entries, and preparation of financial and MIS statements.
• Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports are prepared, reviewed, and checked before presenting them to management.
• Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other applicable statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
• Plan and monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund management.
• Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis reports.
• Maintain Fixed Asset Registers and oversee inventory accounting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls.
• Supervise, guide, and mentor the Accounts team to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Support management with financial analysis and MIS reports for strategic decision-making.
• Handle payroll accounting and statutory employee compliance, wherever applicable.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and system upgradation within the finance function.
• Review existing accounting processes and identify and eliminate time-consuming and inefficient activities.
• Work towards upgrading current accounting systems and implementing automation wherever possible.
• Mentor the Assistant Accounts Manager and help develop them into an independent finance professional.

Required Qualifications -

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) is required.
• M.Com, CA (Inter), CMA, or MBA (Finance) will be preferred.
• CA / Half CA qualification is required along with any other degree.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in Finance & Accounts.
