Job summary

Avanti Overseas in Uttar Pradesh seeks an experienced accounting professional to manage import/export Finance and associated GL entries. Responsibilities include Forex accounting, GST/TDS compliance, discounting receivables, and LC/bank guarantees in trade finance lifecycle.

The role requires strong Tally Prime skills, meticulous ledger auditing, and knowledge of BoE and shipping documents. You will ensure accurate month-end closing and compliance with RBI/FEMA guidelines.

• Import/Export Management: Oversee foreign outward/inward remittances. Ensure proper accounting for exchange rate fluctuations (Forex Gain/Loss) and compliance with FEMA/RBI guidelines.


• Receivables & Discounting: Manage the Discounting of Receivables (Bill Discounting/Factoring). Ensure accurate accounting entries for the transfer of risk, discounting charges, and final settlement.


• Tax & Statutory: Maintain rigorous standards for GST and TDS compliance. Handle documentation related to Export benefits or Import duties where applicable.


• GL & Provisions: Execute precise month-end GL accounting, including provisions for interest on discounted bills and accruals.


• Quality Control: Apply superior observation skills to audit accounting entries, ensuring \"thorough-to-details\" accuracy across all ledgers.

• Trade Finance Accounting: Understanding of the accounting lifecycle for Bill Discounting, LC (Letter of Credit), and Bank Guarantees.


• Forex Accounting: Knowledge of accounting for import/export payments and the resulting realized/unrealized forex differences.


• Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Tally Prime and accounting automation.


• Statutory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of TDS, GST, and international payment documentation (e.g., BoE, Shipping Bills).
