Job summary

Venture Catalysts in Mumbai invites an Associate Accounts & Finance to own end-to-end accounting across multiple group entities. You will handle daily transactions, ledger maintenance in Tally, and ensure GST compliance and statutory filings.

This hands-on role suits a CA or qualified accountant with 2–3 years post-qualification, proficient in Tally ERP and MS Excel, with strong attention to detail and the ability to drive audits and MIS across a fast-moving multi-entity setup.

Qualifications

• CA (preferred) or Inter CA / B.Com / M.Com with 2–3 years post-qualification experience.
• Hands-on Tally ERP, MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP), GST compliance knowledge.
• Strong understanding of GST, TDS and statutory audit; basic FEMA and Companies Act exposure.
• Detail-oriented, deadline-driven with strong follow-up and closure.
• Experience in multi-entity/group company accounting is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end transactions across bank payments, receipts, and purchases in Tally with ledger maintenance.
• Conduct weekly and monthly bank reconciliations and keep books across entities.
• Manage MIS: intercompany balances, debtor/creditor reviews, cost centres, revenue tracking.
• Prepare GST data for GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B and track statutory dues (TDS, PF, PT).
• Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation calculations.
• Own audit readiness documentation and maintain accounting records.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As an Associate Accounts & Finance, you will own the end-to-end accounting cycle across multiple group entities from daily transaction processing and statutory compliance to MIS preparation and audit support. This is a hands-on role ideal for a CA looking to build deep operational finance expertise in a fast-moving multi-entity environment.

WHAT WILL YOU OWN

• Own end-to-end transaction processing across bank payments, receipts, and purchase/sales entries in Tally including ledger maintenance, invoice matching, and clean-up of suspense transactions.
• Drive weekly and monthly bank reconciliations and maintain accurate books across all group entities.
• Manage the MIS cycle — intercompany balances, debtor/creditor reviews, cost centre allocations, revenue tracking, and fund position reporting.
• Own GST compliance end-to-end: data preparation for GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B, 26AS reconciliation, and tracking of all statutory dues (TDS, PF, PT, etc.)
• Maintain fixed asset register, depreciation workings, and expense verification records with full accuracy.
• Be the single point of accountability for audit readiness — statutory, tax, and income-tax scrutiny documentation and own all accounting records and process documentation.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• CA (preferred) or Inter CA / B. Com / M. Com with 2–3 years post-qualification experience.
• Hands-on working knowledge of Tally ERP, MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP), and GST compliance processes.
• Solid domain understanding across GST, TDS, and statutory audit, with basic exposure to FEMA and the Companies Act.
• Detail-oriented and deadline-driven, with a strong instinct for follow-up and closure.
• Prior experience in a multi-entity or group company accounting environment is a distinct advantage
