Job summary

Aswani Industries is seeking a detail-oriented Account Executive to manage day-to-day accounting activities, GST and TDS compliance, purchase invoices, ERP postings, and audit documentation. The role emphasizes accuracy and timely filing.

You will coordinate with purchasing, stores, and internal teams, maintain records, assist external audits, and ensure statutory compliance in a manufacturing setting. Experience with GST return filing independently is preferred; proficiency in Excel and ERP

Responsibilities

• Independently file GST returns within statutory timelines and reconcile data.
• Calculate and ensure timely TDS deductions and filing of TDS returns.
• Verify and process purchase invoices; post accurately in the ERP system.
• Maintain documents for external audits and coordinate with auditors.
• Support general accounting, month-end activities, and internal controls.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Account Executive to manage day-to-day accounting activities, statutory compliance, purchase accounting, and audit-related documentation.The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in independently filing GST returns, TDS compliance, purchase invoice processing and posting, and supporting external audits.

Key Responsibilities

GST Compliance

• Independently prepare and file applicable GST returns within statutory timelines.
• Reconcile GST data with books of accounts, purchase records, and vendor information.
• Verify input tax credit (ITC) and identify discrepancies.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for GST-related clarifications and corrections.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for GST compliance.

TDS Compliance

• Calculate and ensure the timely deduction of TDS as per applicable provisions.
• Prepare data and support the timely filing of TDS returns.
• Handle TDS-related reconciliations and documentation.
• Assist in resolving TDS-related queries and discrepancies.

Purchase Accounting

• Verify and process purchase invoices and supporting documents.
• Ensure accurate accounting and posting of purchase invoices in the ERP/accounting system.
• Coordinate with the Purchase, Store, and other relevant departments for invoice verification and approvals.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies, wherever required.

Audit Support

• Prepare and maintain documents required for external audits.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide the required financial records, invoices, reconciliations, and supporting documents.
• Ensure proper filing and availability of accounting and statutory documents.
• Support the team in resolving audit observations and queries.

General Accounting

• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with account reconciliations and month-end activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders for timely completion of assigned accounting activities.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Hands-on experience in GST return filing
• Good knowledge of TDS provisions and compliance
• Experience in purchase invoice verification, accounting, and system posting
• Understanding of Input Tax Credit (ITC) and GST reconciliation
• Experience in supporting statutory and external audits
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and documentation
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Experience with Tally, ERP, or other accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Educational Qualification

• B.Com / M.Com
• CA Inter or other relevant accounting qualifications will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 25 years of relevant experience in Accounts and Finance.
• Should be capable of handling GST return filing independently.
• Hands-on experience in TDS compliance and purchase accounting.
• Experience in a manufacturing or similar industry will be preferred.
• Should have strong documentation, reconciliation, and audit coordination skills.
