Achariya Siksha Mandir in Chennai is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage day-to-day financial operations and ensure statutory compliance. You will handle accounts payable/receivable, maintain books, generate MIS reports, and support budgeting and payroll processes.

  • Perform periodic data verification and ensure accuracy of financial information.
  • Oversee payroll processing and salary disbursement.
  • Prepare annual budgets and monitor budget utilization.
  • Analyze expenses and suggest cost-control measures.
  • Supervise and guide junior accounting staff.
  • Coordinate with various departments for financial documentation and approvals.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record management.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Management


  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure timely recording of financial transactions.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and other financial records.

  • Monitor cash flow and prepare financial reports for management review.


Tally & MIS Reporting


  • Maintain and update accounts in Tally ERP/Tally Prime.

  • Generate MIS reports, financial summaries, and analytical reports.

  • Ensure proper maintenance of vouchers, ledgers, and accounting records in Tally.

  • Perform periodic data verification and ensure accuracy of financial information.


Taxation & Statutory Compliance


  • Ensure timely preparation and filing of GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and Professional Tax returns.

  • Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities.

  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

  • Assist in internal and external audits.


Payroll & Budgeting


  • Oversee payroll processing and salary disbursement.

  • Prepare annual budgets and monitor budget utilization.

  • Analyze expenses and suggest cost-control measures.


Team Coordination


  • Supervise and guide junior accounting staff.

  • Coordinate with various departments for financial documentation and approvals.

  • Ensure proper documentation and record management.


Required Skills


  • Strong knowledge of Tally ERP/Tally Prime.

  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

  • Experience in GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, and ESI compliance.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and other MS Office applications.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.


Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates with experience in Educational Institutions, Hospitals, Manufacturing, or Corporate Organizations will be preferred.
