Job summary

Primesource Consulting in Chennai invites an experienced accounts professional to handle day-to-day transactions, ledger maintenance, and close activities. You will work with internal teams and vendors to ensure accurate records.

The role requires a Commerce/Accounting degree and 2+ years' experience, with strong Tally and Excel skills and GST/TDS knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Tally and GST/TDS concepts.
• Proficient in MS Excel with good data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain records.
• Prepare and maintain sales, purchase, receipt, and payment entries.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Perform bank and ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare invoices and vouchers.
• Assist GST-related entries and documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and clients on accounting queries.
• Assist senior accounts team with reports.

Role & responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare and maintain sales, purchase, receipt, and payment entries.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Perform bank and ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare invoices, vouchers, and other accounting documents.
• Maintain and update accounts in Tally.
• Assist with GST-related entries, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and clients regarding accounting-related queries.
• Assist the senior accounts team with reports and other finance-related activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in accounting.
• Must have strong skills in stock management, inventory control, and stock reconciliation, ensuring accurate records and minimal discrepancies
• Strong knowledge of Tally is mandatory.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Knowledge of GST and TDS is preferred.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
