Job summary

SDPL - Shrikhande Design Private Limited in Jabalpur is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. You will handle daily accounting tasks, maintain vouchers and ledgers in Tally, and assist with GST filing and basic Income Tax documentation.

Candidate should have 2 years of basic accounting experience, strong Tally ERP9/Prime and MS Excel skills, and accuracy in record keeping. You will support senior accountants with monthly trial balances and bank reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or related field.

Responsibilities

• Daily Accounting & Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date daily financial transactions, vouchers, and ledger accounts in Tally.
• GST Compliance: Assist in preparing and filing GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and perform regular GSTR-2B reconciliations.
• Income Tax & TDS: Calculate, record, and assist in TDS deductibility, monthly deposits, and basic Income Tax documentation.
• Invoicing & Payments: Generate sales invoices, track customer/vendor payments, and perform periodic bank reconciliations (BRS).
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain physical and digital financial records, bills, receipts, and assist senior accountants in preparing monthly trial balances.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Accounting & Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date daily financial transactions, vouchers, and ledger accounts in Tally.
• GST Compliance: Assist in preparing and filing GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and perform regular GSTR-2B reconciliations.
• Income Tax & TDS: Calculate, record, and assist in TDS deductibility, monthly deposits, and basic Income Tax documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 02 years of experience in basic accounting or tax filing.
• Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Tally (ERP 9 or Prime) and MS Excel.
• Tax Knowledge: Solid understanding of GST laws, tax invoice rules, and basic Income Tax concepts.
