Job summary

Sumit Sunil Garg & Associates in Haryana seeks a junior accountant to handle day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients, using Tally Prime and MS Excel, and to assist with GST returns and IT returns. Freshers with strong academics are welcome; 6 months to 3 years’ experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-Day Accounting: Manage routine bookkeeping, journal entries, and ledger maintenance for multiple clients using Tally Prime and other accounting software.
• Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of GST Returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.) and Income Tax Returns (ITR).
• Reconciliation: Perform regular bank, vendor, and ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Documentation: Maintain organized physical and digital records of invoices, receipts, and tax challans.
• Client Support: Communicate with clients regarding missing data, required documents, and basic compliance queries.
• General Support: Assist senior professionals with audit preparations, balance sheet finalization, and corporate compliance filings.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelors degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Master’s in Commerce (M.Com). Candidates pursuing or having completed CA Inter/CS Executive will be given preference.
• Experience: 6 month to 3 years of hands-on experience in accounting or working within a CA firm (Freshers with strong academic backgrounds may also apply).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tally Prime, MS Excel, and standard office software. Familiarity with government tax portals (Income Tax, GST) is highly desirable.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, good time management, and clear communication skills.
