Responsibilities

• Administer, configure and maintain Oracle Fusion HCM Absence Management.

• Provide payroll-related HRIS support and ensure data accuracy for payroll.
• Perform data loads, integrations, APIs and interface troubleshooting.
• Participate in requirements, testing, UAT and deployment for releases.
• Drive process improvements and documentation for global payroll capabilities.

Position: Oracle Absence & Payroll Functional Specialist

Job Summary

Position Type: Full-time, onsite. No hybrid work option.

Direct Reporting: HGSI Local Leadership team, Hyderabad

Functional Reporting: Global HRIS Lead

Shift time (with flexibility to support other regions):

• UK Shift : 2 pm to 11 pm IST [4.30 am to 13.30 pm EST/ 9.30 am to 6.30 pm UK time]

Job Purpose:

The Oracle Absence & Payroll Functional Specialist is responsible for the administration, configuration, support and continuous improvement of Oracle Fusion HCM Absence Management and payroll-related HR technology processes. The role ensures absence processes, rules, eligibility, balances and payroll-related data flows are accurately designed and maintained in accordance with global requirements.

Working closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, technical teams, vendors and business stakeholders, the role supports solution design, integrations, testing, data quality, payroll readiness and continuous improvement as the organisation expands its global payroll capability.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Absence Management Administration

• Administer, configure and maintain Oracle Fusion HCM Absence Management.
• Configure and manage absence plans, types, eligibility, accruals, balances, approvals and related rules.
• Ensure absence configuration supports global standards and approved country requirements.

Payroll Functional Support

• Support payroll-related HR processes and ensure accurate upstream HR data is available to payroll.
• Work with payroll teams to resolve payroll-related HRIS issues.
• Support payroll integrations, data validation and reconciliation activities.

HRIS Support

• Provide functional support for absence and payroll-related HR technology issues.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis and coordinate resolution with technical teams and vendors.
• Maintain support documentation and provide user guidance where required.

Technical Support & Integrations

• Perform data loads using HDL and Spreadsheet Loader.
• Support HCM Extracts and assist with system integrations, APIs and interface troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with technical teams and vendors to ensure reliable integration with payroll and other business systems.

Projects & Release Management

• Support implementation and enhancement of Absence Management and payroll-related capabilities.
• Participate in requirements gathering, configuration, testing, UAT and deployment.
• Assess Oracle quarterly releases for absence and payroll impact and support regression testing.

Process Improvement

• Analyse absence and payroll-related processes and recommend automation, simplification and standardisation opportunities.
• Prepare functional specifications, process maps and solution documentation.
• Support readiness for future regional and global payroll capabilities.
• Must have about 10-12 years of experience in similar role
• Oracle Absence Management and Payroll knowledge
• Knowledge of local labour laws and leave regulations
• Experience with accrual formulas and balances
• Strong attention to detail and compliance focus
• Experience in payroll integration and reconciliation
