Job summary

TATA Consultancy Services in Bengaluru is seeking an Ab Initio Developer to join the ETL team handling batch and real-time processing in a banking domain.

Candidate should have 3–8 years of experience with Ab Initio, Unix, Oracle, and data warehousing concepts, including dimensional modeling and performance tuning. Offshore-onsite model exposure and leading technical directions are desirable.

Job Description:

• Ab Initio Batch ETL (Single stage & Multistage Components)
• Enterprise Meta Environment and PDL
• Continuous Flows and Continuous Components
• Unix, Oracle, Scheduling Tool
• Performance Tuning & Generic process development
• Concepts of Dimensional Modeling and DWH Architecture in Banking Domain
• Offshore-onsite Model working experience, ETL Design, Leading team with technical directions
• Experience in requirement gathering, creating design specifications
• Expert on Data warehouse concepts and ETL frameworks
• Database and data modelling concepts
• Expert on Ab Initio - command line commands, Multifile system, batch processing components, real time processing
• Oracle/Teradata or any database appliance working experience preferred
• ACE/BRE experience

Responsibilities / Expectations from the Role

• ETL Technical Designing, Guiding Team for solving Technical Problems, Providing Technical Solution to Client.
• Understanding Business Requirement and converting to Technical specification, Execution Planning.
• Effort Estimation, Task assignment to the team and tracking of activities, Performance Tuning.
• Hands on development for complex modules as and when required, ensuring coding standards, quality of delivery.
• Flexibility to work in Development/Maintenance Support type of work and work in shifts (if needed).
