Job summary

You will handle metal powders safely, document outcomes, and collaborate with Design, Production and Quality teams to ensure high-quality results while maintaining SOPs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI or engineering degree in mechanical/related discipline.
• 13 years of relevant experience in metal additive manufacturing or related production environment.
• Freshers with relevant certification or hands-on exposure may be considered.

Job description

3D Metal Printer Operator

We are looking for a skilled and technically oriented 3D Metal Printer Operator to operate and manage metal additive manufacturing equipment for prototype and production component development.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor industrial 3D Metal Printing / Metal Additive Manufacturing machines.
• Perform machine setup, build preparation, parameter setting and printing operations.
• Prepare and verify build files, build orientation and support structures using relevant software.
• Handle metal powders safely, including powder loading, recovery, sieving and storage.
• Monitor printing/build processes and identify printing abnormalities or defects.
• Carry out post-processing activities such as depowdering, support removal, cleaning and basic finishing.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspection of printed components using measuring instruments.
• Maintain machine operating logs, production records, material consumption and inspection reports.
• Perform routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
• Assist in troubleshooting machine and process-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality standards and safety procedures.
• Support technical training, demonstrations and practical laboratory activities related to additive manufacturing.
• Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality and Technical teams for successful completion of projects.

Educational Qualification

Experience: 13 years of relevant experience in metal additive manufacturing, 3D printing, CNC/manufacturing machinery or a related production environment.

Freshers with relevant certification, training or hands‑on exposure to 3D Metal Printing / Additive Manufacturing may also be considered.

Preferred Candidate

• Hands‑on experience with industrial metal 3D printers.
• Knowledge of LPBF/SLM/DMLS processes.
• Experience in metal powder handling and post‑processing.
• Good troubleshooting and problem‑solving ability.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
