Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a talented 3D Generalist to join its Content Development team across PAN India locations. You will help move concepts to final immersive experiences, leveraging Maya/Max, Unity, and Substance Painter to deliver photoreal and real-time assets.

Ideal candidates have 4–12 years of experience, a strong portfolio, and the ability to optimize models for WebGL and real-time engines, with a focus on delivering high-quality CGI storytelling.

Qualifications

• Specialized in creating photorealistic models, textures, materials, lighting, and rendering for interior, exterior environments, character and props.
• Experienced in Maya/3ds Max, V-Ray/Redshift, Unity/Unreal, and Substance Painter
• Ability to create clean and organized topology
• Ability to Implement various lighting techniques including light mapping, baking and light probes
• Ability in converting models into various real-time formats based on client needs (.obj, glTF, FBX)
• Experience of traditional and computer 3D animation techniques
• Fast turnaround on both hard-surface and organic modeling
• Should be able to help in Integrating, assembling and managing scene assets using Maya/ Max and Unity
• Accurately translate design concepts into 3D Models/Renderings
• Work directly with the Visualization Team to assess and generate 3D models at both photo-real and real-time resolutions
• Optimize models for export in our proprietary WebGL system
• Participate in template and asset development of 3D content
• Assist in developing new standards for modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering of products within the established workflow
• Creating Interactive Assets to work with Unity Coding or Unreal Engine’s Blueprint system
• Assist with post-production editing on rendered content and managing render layers in After Effects or Nuke
• Ensure production deadlines and quality control are achieved
• Take ownership of your work and proactively support the team by offering creative ideas to improve the business and our processes

Education: Must have completed either UG or PG through Fulltime/Regular. Preferably Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Media Arts and Animation, Interactive Entertainment, Interactive Technology or related field

The candidate should support the AR/VR/MR experience team as well as the Pre-Rendered Animation team and help us define the next generation of immersive experiences as well as to provide industry standard CGI rendered storytelling. We are looking for a talented and experienced 3D Generalist to join our Content Development team, to take our ideas from concept to final quality experiences.
