Job summary

Hurma is seeking a skilled 2D Artist with 3+ years in gaming and a strong portfolio to craft art for slot games. You will create symbols, backgrounds, UI elements, and themes, then hand off assets to Spine animators.

You’ll translate briefs into sketches and color scripts, ensuring visual coherence with gameplay across mobile and desktop platforms. Fluency in English is required for daily collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a 2D Artist in gaming; experience in slots/iGaming is a plus.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating digital painting, composition, rendering and asset slicing.
• Expertise in Adobe Photoshop; familiarity with Illustrator or other painting software (Procreate, Painter).
• English proficiency at B2+ for daily communication and spec alignment.

Responsibilities

• Design and render high-quality 2D art for slot games (symbols, backgrounds, UI elements).
• Create sketches, color scripts, and concepts from briefs.
• Clean up, slice, and hand off graphics to spine/2D animators.
• Adapt art styles to fit various slot themes (fantasy, myth, sci-fi, etc.).
• Collaborate with team to ensure alignment with gameplay and specs.

We are looking for a skilled 2D Anrtist with strong experience in slot games and Spine animation. If you’re passionate about bringing characters and effects to life, have experience with sprites, and want to collaborate with an international team — we’d love to meet you!

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience as a 2D Artist in the gaming industry (experience inslots/iGamingis a strong advantage).
• A strong portfolio demonstrating skills in digital painting, composition, rendering, and asset slicing.
• Expertise in Adobe Photoshop; familiarity with Illustrator or digital painting software (Procreate, Painter).
• English Proficiency:Upper-Intermediate (B2)or higher (written and spoken) for smooth daily communication and spec alignment.
• Solid grasp of color theory, lighting, perspective, and visual hierarchy suited for mobile and desktop screens.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and render high-quality 2D art for slot games, including symbols (low-pay and high-pay), thematic backgrounds, pop-ups, and UI elements.
• Create initial sketches, color scripts, and character/theme concepts based on project briefs.
• Clean up, slice, and layer graphics properly to hand off smoothly to spine/2D animators.
• Adapt art styles to fit various slot themes (e.g., fantasy, mythology, classic fruit, sci-fi, or casual/cartoon).
• Partner with a Team to ensure art aligns with gameplay mechanics and technical specs.
