Job summary

Ramboll Energy from Waste and Carbon Capture in Chennai seeks a 2D/3D Plant Layout Engineer to support Feasibility study and project phases using Bentley MicroStation and AutoCAD. You will develop 2D/3D layouts for WtE, Carbon Capture and industrial plants, coordinate with process, mechanical, piping, civil and electrical teams, and participate in reviews and drawings management.

Role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, 3–10 years’ layout/drafting experience and strong English

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–10 years of experience in plant layout engineering, drafting or 3D modelling.
• Good English communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
• Experience in AutoCAD and/or Bentley MicroStation is a must.
• 3D modelling experience in Auto plant and/or Revit 3D is preferred.
• Exposure to WtE, Thermal Power, Biogas, Energy or Process Industry projects is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update 2D and 3D layouts of WtE, Carbon Capture and industrial plants using Bentley MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Develop plot plans, equipment layouts, building layouts, sections and general arrangement drawings.
• Support integration of plant models for multidisciplinary coordination.
• Incorporate review comments from project engineers and global teams into layout models and drawings.
• Assist in model coordination, clash identification and space management.
• Support preparation and updating of PFDs, P&IDs and associated drawings.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, piping, civil, electrical and C&I disciplines for layout development.
• Participate in layout review meetings and workshops and support closure of review comments.
• Support document control and drawing register management for active projects.
• Site visits, if required, and collection of site information for layout development.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Bentley MicroStation, AutoCAD and other relevant software and industry practices.

Your primary role will be to support our global operations in preparation of layout in Feasibility study and project phase, including but not limited to:

The right person for this job will
