EXL Decision Analytics seeks an experienced actuarial professional to join our analytics team focused on US insurance markets. You will analyze data, build pricing and reserving models, and prepare valuation reports while collaborating with clients and internal teams.

The role requires strong data manipulation skills in Excel, R, Python, and SAS, 3–5 years of P&C actuarial experience, and excellent communication. Opportunities for growth and exposure to global clients abound.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master's in economics, mathematics or actuarial sciences.
• IAI or IFOA affiliation with at least 3 CT actuarial exams.
• 3–5 years’ experience with P&C actuarial pricing, reserving and valuation.
• Experience with US general insurance market is preferable.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Role Overview

• Doing independent research, analyse, and present data as assigned
• Expected to work in close collaboration with the EXL team and clients on general insurance actuarial projects for US markets
• Critically examine and deep dive into models
• Prepare detailed documentation for rate revision, rate review, pricing models, valuation reports and preparing presentations
• Assist in learning and development of new team members
• Identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines

Key Responsibilities

• Complete understanding of the current state of affairs and problem statement
• Interacting with clients on regular basis, understanding their requirements and transforming that into business framework and providing actuarial solutions
• Experience in data extraction and data manipulation in Excel, R, Python, SAS
• Experience in data control and data automation
• In-depth data analysis like identifying major trends, univariate and multi-variate analysis
• Personal and commercial lines general insurance pricing, reserving for US insurance markets
• Knowledge of general insurance domain and P&C actuarial concepts is a must
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, actuarial sciences
• Affiliation to IAI or IFOA, with at least 3 CT actuarial exams
• 3-5 years’ experience, with good understanding of P&C actuarial concepts - pricing, reserving and valuation
• Exposure to US general insurance market is preferable
• Strong ability to learn technical and business knowledge
• Superior analytical and problem solving skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges
• Is able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe
