New Vision Softcom & Consultancy Pvt. Ltd is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer in Pune to design, build, and maintain scalable GitLab pipelines and automation suites using Cypress and pytest.

You will own CI infrastructure decisions, improve pipeline reliability, and collaborate with developers to ensure release readiness. You will drive test coverage across API, UI, integration, and end-to-end layers, delivering high-quality, timely releases in a hybrid work environment.

Formación

• Experience in designing, building and maintaining reusable CI pipelines
• Strong automation experience focusing on test automation
• Hands-on with Cypress and/or pytest in CI workflows

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain reusable GitLab pipelines independently, ensuring scalable CI flows that accelerate delivery and improve overall pipeline performance
• Own day-to-day CI infrastructure decisions, driving reliability, maintainability, and optimization of GitLab-based workflows in close collaboration with developers and other stakeholders
• Collaborate with developers on testability and release readiness, aligning GitLab pipeline configurations, Cypress and/or pytest automation, and test coverage to support high-quality, timely releases
• Root-cause pipeline failures in GitLab and optimize pipeline duration and reliability, analyzing logs, configurations, and execution flows to reduce bottlenecks and prevent recurring issues
• Build and maintain automation suites using Cypress and/or pytest, creating robust, reusable tests that support continuous integration and consistent quality across releases
• Define and execute test coverage across API, UI, integration, and end-to-end layers, leveraging Cypress and/or pytest within GitLab pipelines to validate system behavior comprehensively
• Integrate and regularly run automated tests within GitLab CI pipelines, ensuring fast feedback loops and consistent validation of changes throughout the development lifecycle
• Monitor, review, and refine existing GitLab pipelines and CI configurations, identifying opportunities to streamline stages, reduce execution time, and improve stability
• Document CI pipeline structures, automation suites, and test coverage strategies in the context of GitLab, Cypress, and pytest usage, supporting transparency, knowledge sharing, and easier onboarding
