Job summary

New Vision Softcom & Consultancy Pvt. Ltd is seeking a Backend/API Python Test Automation Engineer to join the QA team focused on validating and automating the backend/API layer. The role is Pune-based with a hybrid work model and some travel or time overlap with US regions.

You will build and maintain Python-based automated tests for backend services, design API-level test scenarios, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with backend developers to ensure robust validation.

Qualifications

• Strong Python skills with API test automation experience.
• General networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing); SD-WAN exposure is a plus.
• Comfortable working independently, taking ownership of assigned test areas.
• Mid-to-senior level experience in QA automation / SDET roles.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Python-based automated tests targeting backend services and APIs.
• Design and execute API-level test scenarios covering functional and edge cases.
• Report and track defects, collaborating with backend developers to clarify requirements.
• Integrate backend test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Support cross-layer testing efforts alongside platform and UI engineers.
• Collaborate with QA and development teams to improve automation coverage.

• Pune location preferred, with fallback on Bangalore
• Working with large enterprise experience
• Overlap in US working time
