Job summary

McCabe General Merchants Ltd in Ireland is seeking a store manager to oversee all aspects of the store and yard, ensuring high presentation standards and strict adherence to quality, health and safety protocols while running day-to-day operations.

You will lead a high‑performing team, drive coaching and training, manage stock and supplier relationships, and maintain excellent relations with customers and stakeholders in a dynamic retail/agribusiness environment.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3–5 years of management experience in a large retail or agribusiness environment.
• Education: An Agri Degree / Business (or equivalent) and IASIS certification.
• Skills: Proficiency in IT systems (Excel, POS, Email) and strong interpersonal and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all aspects of the store and yard, ensuring high standards of presentation and strict adherence to Quality, Health & Safety protocols.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing team through coaching, feedback, and support.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Manage stock, product mix, and supplier relationships to ensure availability of seasonal agri-products.
