Job summary

FRS Recruitment in North-East Galway is seeking a Yard Operative/Senior Yard Operative to join a well-established agricultural and construction supplies business. The role offers permanent hours with either full-time or part-time options and may suit a part-time farmer seeking extra income.

You will load and unload deliveries with a forklift, assist customers, pick and prepare orders, manage goods inwards and outwards, monitor stock, keep a clean and safe yard, and may make occasional van

Qualifications

• Experience in agricultural merchants, builders' providers, DIY retailers, hardware stores, construction supplies, or similar environments.
• Strong work ethic and practical, hands-on approach.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Forklift experience and certification is advantageous but training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload deliveries safely using a forklift.
• Assist customers and provide excellent service in the yard.
• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Manage goods inwards and goods outwards.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe yard environment.
• Carry out occasional van deliveries as required.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures.

FRS Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Agri & Construction Supplies business in the North-East Galway region for a Yard Operative / Senior Yard Operative to join their team.

This is a flexible opportunity offering either full-time or part-time hours, making it an excellent fit for someone seeking a long-term career in the agri-trade sector.
