Job summary

Frey Consulting Group in Ireland invites applications for a Workshop Engineer in North Dublin to join a specialist medical devices team. You will repair, service and test endoscopy equipment and other high-value devices within a controlled workshop environment.

You'll work with a skilled team on refurbishment, diagnostics and quality assurance, maintaining detailed records, complying with regulations and delivering equipment back to customers in optimal condition.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing or servicing technical equipment.
• Experience in cleanroom or regulated environments.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Good electrical, electronic or electro-mechanical knowledge.
• Experience with endoscopy equipment is advantageous.

THE COMPANY:

Our client is a leading provider of medical technology and healthcare equipment, supporting hospitals and healthcare facilities throughout Ireland.

Due to continued growth within their service division, they are seeking a Workshop Engineer to join their technical team in North Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys fault-finding, repair work and working on high-value specialist equipment within a controlled workshop environment.

THE ROLE:

The successful Workshop Engineer will be responsible for the repair, servicing, testing and maintenance of specialist medical devices, with a particular focus on endoscopy equipment.

Working as part of an experienced technical team, you will support equipment refurbishment, diagnostics, preventative maintenance and quality assurance activities while ensuring equipment is returned to customers in optimal working condition.

Key responsibilities include:

• Servicing and repairing endoscopy and medical equipment


• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults


• Performing preventative maintenance and inspection activities


• Completing testing, calibration and quality checks


• Maintaining detailed service records and documentation


• Supporting equipment refurbishment and repair programmes


• Ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements


• Liaising with technical and customer support teams where required


• Managing spare parts and workshop inventory requirements


• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop

THE PERSON:

We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience within medical devices, electronics, precision engineering, laboratory equipment, cleanroom manufacturing, instrumentation, calibration or technical service environments.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience repairing or servicing technical equipment


• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills


• Experience working within a cleanroom, regulated or quality-focused environment


• Good electrical, electronic or electro-mechanical knowledge


• Strong attention to detail


• Excellent organisational and documentation skills


• Endoscopy equipment experience would be highly advantageous


• Medical device industry experience would be beneficial

THE PACKAGE:
