Job summary

Apleona Ireland is seeking an experienced Working Cleaning Supervisor to join our team in Duleek, Meath. The role involves supervising cleaning staff, ensuring safety, and maintaining standards on a 35-hour week with a rotating Monday-Sunday roster.

The ideal candidate will train staff, manage stock, organise housekeeping, and handle facilities information while upholding confidentiality and company policies.

Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of English.
• Knowledge and willingness to apply safe working practices.
• Knowledge of how to use equipment necessary to carry out the assigned tasks.
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Able to manage own time effectively.
• Able to take instruction and direction and complete tasks to the highest standard.
• Knowledge of Principles of Chemical Safety.

Responsibilities

• Training staff on cleaning products and roles within their establishment.
• Maintain stock levels and replenish when minimum levels arise.

• Report and store lost and found items.
• Provide basic information on facilities when required.
• Handle complaints in line with your manager.
• Promote a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
• Follow all company policies and health & safety regulations.
• Attend training and meetings as required and participate in performance reviews.
• Keep accurate records and prepare reports as required.
• Be flexible to respond to business changes and best practices.

Apleona is looking for an experienced and hands-on Working Cleaning Supervisor to join our team in Duleek, Meath.

Shift Pattern: 35 hours per week, working on a rotating Monday-Sunday roster.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Ensuring correct and thorough training is given to all employees on the cleaning products and cleaning roles within their establishment.
• Ensuring correct levels of stock is held and replenish when minimum levels arise.
• Organising general housekeeping and cleaning around the building and litter control
• Report and store lost and found items
• May when required, provide basic information on facilities
• Handle complaints in line with your manager.
• Promoting a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
• Maintain confidentiality on all matters relating to service users, ex-service users and general business
• Adhere to all company policies & procedures
• Attend training and meetings as required and appropriate and participate in performance reviews
• Keep accurate records in relation to all aspects of work and prepare reports as required
• Have a flexible approach to work in response to business change, development and review of best practice
• Take care of their own health & safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions
• The post holder is expected to follow all the health, safety & welfare regulations
• Comply with the safety rules set out in the Company Policies and any safety rules set out clients
• Wear any personal protective equipment (PPE) supplied - Safety shoes/safety glasses/high-vis vests or any other item of PPE identified by the client or risk assessment for that task
