Recruit Engineers seeks a hands-on Working Foreman for groundworks and civil construction. The role is primarily based in County Tipperary with occasional travel to other project locations.

A company tipper/van will be provided, and the position offers long-term stability for an experienced foreman. The candidate must supervise groundworks activities, operate plant machinery when required and ensure work is performed safely and to high standards.

Working Foreman - Groundworks - €28 Per Hour

Location: Primarily County Tipperary, with travel to other project locations as required
Pay Rate: €28 per hour
Company Vehicle: Company tipper/van provided

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Working Foreman with a strong background in groundworks and civil construction to oversee and carry out groundworks operations across a range of projects.

This is a hands-on leadership position. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising groundworks activities, operating machinery when required and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

The role will be primarily based in County Tipperary, with travel to other project locations as required. A company tipper/van will be provided.

Please note: This is an interview-based position. Candidates must demonstrate strong groundworks experience, practical machinery skills and the ability to lead and manage site activities independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily groundworks and civil construction activities.
• Lead groundworkers and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Operate diggers, telehandlers and other relevant plant machinery when required.
• Transport plant and equipment between project sites.
• Oversee drainage works, excavations and demolition.
• Carry out and supervise concrete works and tarmac-related groundworks.
• Monitor work quality and project progress.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements.
• Liaise with management and provide updates on site progress.
• Take responsibility for organising and managing day-to-day site operations.

Requirements

• Strong, proven experience in groundworks and civil construction.
• Previous experience as a Working Foreman or in a supervisory role.
• Competent operating diggers, telehandlers and other relevant machinery.
• Experience driving a tipper/van.
• Practical experience in drainage, excavations, concrete, tarmac and demolition.
• Ability to lead a team and manage site activities independently.
• Full, valid driving licence and relevant machinery tickets.
• Willingness to travel to different project locations as required.
• Strong communication skills, reliability and a professional approach.

Desirable: Previous tractor operating experience.
