Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking an experienced Civils Foreman for ongoing residential projects in County Dublin. This hands-on, site-based role oversees groundworks and operations, requiring strong leadership on civil engineering sites and a proven ability to manage crews and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of relevant experience, a solid understanding of health & safety regulations, and the ability to read drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience as Civils Foreman or similar role in Ireland.
• Strong background in civil engineering, infrastructure, and bridge construction.
• Proven ability to lead site crews and subcontractors.
• Excellent knowledge of health & safety regulations and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate site operatives and subcontractors across all civil works.
• Ensure works are completed safely, to programme, and in accordance with project drawings and specifications.
• Work closely with the Site Engineer and Project Manager to plan daily activities and resource allocation.
• Enforce health & safety standards and promote a strong safety culture on site.
• Monitor quality of workmanship and carry out regular site inspections.
• Assist with site logistics, plant coordination, and materials management.
• Maintain accurate daily records, including progress reports and site diaries.
• Identify and resolve on-site issues promptly, escalating when necessary.

• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• SMSTS / Safe Pass / Manual Handling (or equivalent).
• Full clean driving licence.
• Right to work in ROI.
