Job summary

Global Professional Consultants in Ireland is seeking an experienced Civils Foreman for ongoing residential projects in County Kildare. This hands-on, site-based role oversees groundworks and civil operations, with a focus on safety, quality and meeting programme targets.

You will supervise site operatives and subcontractors, read drawings, plan daily activities with the Site Engineer and Project Manager, and maintain daily records.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience as a Civils Foreman or similar role in Ireland.
• Strong civil engineering background in infrastructure and construction.
• Ability to lead site crews and subcontractors.
• Excellent knowledge of health & safety regulations and safe systems of work.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Full clean driving licence and right to work in ROI.

Responsibilities

• Ensure works are completed safely, to programme, and in accordance with project drawings and specifications.
• Work closely with the Site Engineer and Project Manager to plan daily activities and resource allocation.

• Monitor quality of workmanship and carry out regular site inspections.
• Assist with site logistics, plant coordination, and materials management.
• Maintain accurate daily records, including progress reports and site diaries.
• Identify and resolve on-site issues promptly, escalating when necessary.

• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• SMSTS / Safe Pass / Manual Handling (or equivalent).
• Full clean driving licence.
• Right to work in ROI.
