Job summary

Berkley Group seeks a Workday Functional Solution Consultant to deliver and support enterprise Workday engagements across EMEA. The role combines business analysis, technical setup and stakeholder alignment to design functional solutions for enterprise needs.

You will work with Engagement Leads, Architects and client teams to implement and optimise Workday configurations across core HR domains while supporting deployments and AMS activities.

Qualifications

• Active Workday HCM Core certification is required.
• At least one Advanced Workday certification is required.
• 3+ years of hands-on Workday configuration experience.
• Experience in a full lifecycle Workday deployment.
• Strong knowledge of HR processes including Hire-to-Retire.
• Ability to lead requirement workshops and work with multiple stakeholders.

Role Title: Workday Functional Solution Consultant (Initial 6 Month Contract)

Location: Remote Within Ireland

Overview: Seeking a skilled Workday Functional Specialist to deliver and support enterprise Workday engagements across EMEA. The ideal candidate brings strong configuration expertise across core and specialty modules, combining business analysis, technical setup, and stakeholder alignment across deployment and operational phases. You will work alongside Engagement Leads, Architects, and client teams to design functional solutions tailored to enterprise requirements.

Core Responsibilities

Functional Expertise & Configuration

• Lead or support functional delivery across one or more key modules: Core HCM, Absence Management, Compensation, Talent & Performance, Recruiting, or Benefits.
• Configure, optimize, and maintain Workday Core HCM alongside assigned functional areas.
• Build and manage Business Process Framework (BPF) flows, Security Groups, Job Architectures, and Calculated Fields.
• Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions to design functional solution blueprints.

Operational & Project Execution

• Handle Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs), custom Workday Reporting, test execution, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination, and release migrations.
• Evaluate biannual Workday feature updates, conduct impact analyses, and provide ongoing post-production support.
• Collaborate closely with client HR teams, IT partners, and third-party vendors to support project success.

Background & Qualifications

• Certifications (Mandatory): Active Workday HCM Core certification PLUS at least one Advanced Workday certification.
• Experience: 3+ years of direct, hands-on Workday configuration experience across implementations, global rollouts, and Application Management Services (AMS) environments.
• Lifecycle Track Record: Participation in at least one full lifecycle enterprise Workday deployment.
• Module Mastery: Deep practical knowledge of HCM Core paired with hands-on capability in an advanced module (e.g., Recruiting, Absence, Time Tracking, or related HCM functional area).
• Process Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of HR business processes and the end-to-end Hire-to-Retire lifecycle.
• Methodology & Facilitation: Practical working knowledge of standard Workday deployment methodologies and proven skill in leading client requirement workshops.
