Job summary

Park Hotel Kenmare in Ireland seeks a dedicated Wellness Experiences Specialist to create and deliver exceptional wellbeing journeys for guests. Job Summary

Creating, delivering and enhancing exceptional wellness experiences for guests throughout their stay, acting as both host and wellness specialist. To guide guests through a range of holistic activities, curate personalised wellness journeys, and support the development of innovative wellness programmes that reflect the property's unique landscape, philosophy and guest experience. Assisting with promoting products and services, that will help to maximise sales and revenue through outstanding customer care and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
Wellness Experiences & Guest Engagement
  • Lead and facilitate a range of wellness classes and experiences, including:
    • Yoga
    • Meditation
    • Guided Stone Meditation
    • Stretch Classes
    • Sound Bath Sessions
  • Conduct guided landscape tours for spa guests upon arrival, introducing the wellness facilities and natural surroundings.
  • Host guests throughout the day, ensuring their comfort, wellbeing and engagement.
  • Recommend appropriate wellness activities, treatments and experiences based on guest needs and interests.
  • Deliver tea rituals and other signature wellness experiences.
Wellness Programme Development
  • Curate bespoke wellness itineraries for individual guests and groups.
  • Design and coordinate multi-day wellness programmes tailored to guest objectives.
  • Assist Landscape’s Reception team with scheduling personalised wellness journeys to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Become knowledgeable in the wellness technologies (biohacking equipment), supporting setup, team training and revenue growth.
  • Act as the in‑house specialist for wellness technology (biohacking equipment) and spa experiences, ensuring safe and effective use by guests.
  • Serve as the Mineral Pool Experience Specialist, educating and guiding guests on its benefits and use.
  • Develop specialised wellness treatment rituals for the Therapy team.
Visiting Practitioner & Residency Management
  • Plan and coordinate seasonal residency programmes for visiting wellness specialists, to be scheduled twice annually.
  • Liaise with external practitioners to develop engaging guest experiences and events.
  • Support the promotion and successful execution of residency programmes.
Team Wellness & Staff Engagement
  • Develop and deliver weekly wellness sessions (15minutes) for the hotel and the Landscape team.
  • Create quarterly staff wellness events designed to encourage engagement, wellbeing and team connection.
  • Promote a culture of wellbeing across the wider hotel team.
Operational Support
  • Provide support to Spa Attendants and the wider Landscape team throughout the day as required.
  • Maintain high standards of guest care, presentation and professionalism at all times.
  • Assist with the smooth day‑to‑day operation of wellness activities and experiences.
  • Maintain an in‑depth knowledge of the treatment tariff, supporting products, bespoke services, retail offerings, gift vouchers, and memberships to confidently discuss and recommend options to guests.
  • Enthusiastically represent and support the businesses objectives through sales, attitude and customer care.
Sales & Business Development
  • Promote and upsell spa treatments, wellness programmes and wellness experiences.
  • Support the growth of wellness‑focused group business, including international wellness retreats and group bookings.
  • Contribute to achieving departmental revenue targets through proactive guest engagement and recommendation.
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to enhance awareness of wellness offerings.
Day‑to‑Day Duties
  • Present a professional level of conduct, performance and comply with standards of appearance by adhering to the dress code and uniform standard and always maintaining a well‑groomed and professional appearance.
  • Participate in a staff rota in accordance with that devised by the Spa Manager, being flexible in contributing towards the provision of adequate staff cover in accordance with fluctuating business demand.
  • Be a team player and support other Landscape team members when needed, with a proactive and positive approach, while demonstrating initiative and the ability to work independently in a professional and customer‑focused environment.
  • Always ensure punctuality for duty and appointments.
  • Ensure all equipment is fully operational and report any defects to the Spa Manager.
  • Ensure all administrative tasks and procedures are completed accurately and efficiently, supporting smooth day‑to‑day operations and maintaining compliance with company standards.
  • Attend daily/weekly staff communication meetings with the Spa Manager, actively contributing ideas and feedback to support the continuous improvement of services and operational excellence.
  • Promote environmental awareness by ensuring that recycling policies, reduces waste reduction, and avoiding the overuse of expensive or non‑recyclable materials is adhered to. Seek opportunities to minimise environmentally harmful practices.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to company policies, operational standards, procedures, and health & safety regulations across all areas of the business.
  • Be fully aware of Landscape’s fire procedures, the location of the fire exits, assembly points, and fire‑fighting equipment within the whole building.
  • Attend any training courses deemed necessary by the Spa Manager to support professional development and operational excellence.
  • Where required provide demonstrations to support – internally and externally. (according to experience)
  • To undertake any other relevant duties as requested by the Spa Manager or the Hotel General Manager.
Success Measures (KPIs)
  • Guest satisfaction and wellness experience feedback.
  • Growth in wellness programme participation, and revenue to include international group bookings.
  • Successful delivery of group wellness itineraries and retreats.
  • Increased uptake of wellness experiences, wellness technologies (biohacking) and treatment recommendations.
  • Positive staff engagement in internal wellness programmes.
  • Successful execution of seasonal specialist residency programmes.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
  • Recognised Yoga Teacher qualification (minimum 200‑hour Yoga Alliance or equivalent).
  • Qualification or certification in Meditation and/or Mindfulness instruction.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience delivering wellness programmes within a luxury hotel, spa, retreat, resort or wellness centre.
  • Experience facilitating both individual and group wellness sessions.
  • Excellent communication and guest engagement skills with fluent spoken and written English.
Experience Required
  • Experience designing personalised wellness programmes.
  • Experience leading yoga, meditation and mindfulness sessions.
  • Experience hosting guests and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Experience achieving retail or service sales targets.
  • Experience working collaboratively with therapists and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience training or mentoring colleagues would be advantageous.
  • Experience planning wellness events or practitioner residencies is desirable.
