Job summary

The Grace Westport Estate in Westport, Co Mayo, opens Spring 2026 and seeks a dedicated Wellness Coach to lead one-to-one coaching, small-group sessions, and holistic wellbeing programs for guests and members.

You will design personalised training plans, supervise gym operations, manage bookings, and promote wellness services while upholding luxury hospitality standards.

This is a full-time, pre-opening role with a dynamic team and opportunities to shape the guest wellness journey.

Qualifications

• Recognised personal training qualification required in Ireland (e.g., Level 3/Level 4).
• Excellent interpersonal and guest-service orientation.
• Ability to motivate clients of varying fitness levels and backgrounds.
• Strong organizational skills for bookings and follow-up.
• Flexible, proactive team contributor with safety awareness.

Job Summary:

The Wellness Coach role supports the delivery of a luxury, results-driven wellness experience for guests and members of The Grace Westport Estate. The role is accountable for providing tailored one-to-one coaching, leading small-group fitness sessions, and promoting a holistic wellbeing ethos throughout the resort.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial fitness assessments, consultations, and goal-setting PT sessions with guests and members.
• Design, deliver, and monitor personalised training programmes (strength, conditioning, mobility, functional fitness, etc.).
• Lead small-group sessions, wellness workshops, or classes when required.
• Ensure safe and effective use of gym equipment, providing clear instruction and demonstrations.
• Deliver exceptional guest service at all times, upholding The Grace's wellness and hospitality standards.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organisation, and presentation of the gym, studios, and wellness areas.
• Welcome and check in guests and members to the fitness and wellness areas.
• Manage bookings, schedules, and client records.
• Handle phone and email enquiries related to fitness and wellness services.
• Process payments and maintain accurate administrative records as required.
• Promote resort wellness services, programmes, and retail products to enhance the guest experience.
• Support with events, wellness retreats, and promotional activities as part of the wider team.
• Attend training sessions and maintain up-to-date qualifications and certifications.
• Contribute to a positive, professional, and collaborative team environment.

Required Experience & Skills

• Recognised personal training qualification (in Ireland, e.g., Level 3 Gym Instructor and Level 4 Personal Trainer) or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong guest-service orientation.
• Ability to motivate and support clients of varying fitness levels and backgrounds.
• Strong organizational skills; able to manage bookings, programming and follow-up.
• Flexible, reliable, team-oriented with a proactive approach to contributing to the wellness offering.
• Understanding of health & safety regulations in a fitness environment and responsibly manage risk.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Previous experience as a Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor, or Wellness Coach in a premium gym, spa, or resort environment
• Experience in guest-facing or hospitality roles where service excellence is paramount
• Comfortable managing reception or administrative duties, including scheduling, bookings, and client communication
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certification (current or willing to obtain).
• Passionate about health, wellness, and delivering memorable guest experiences.
• Desirable: Ability to deliver small-group classes or wellness workshops; knowledge of nutrition/ lifestyle coaching; sales awareness (promoting wellness programmes, retail, etc.).
