Job summary

Perry Ellis International is hiring for a Warehouse Maintenance Technician to support our distribution center operations. The role involves mechanical, basic electrical, hydraulics, and plumbing tasks, with a weekend shift from 6:00 am to 6:45 pm (Saturday, Sunday, Monday), totaling a 36-hour week.

The position requires the ability to lift heavy items, work independently or with a team, and willingness to learn new skills.

Qualifications

• 1 yr (3yrs preferred) experience in a maintenance function, preferably in a distribution or industrial environment.
• Willing to work overtime as needed (sometimes on short notice).
• Dependable transportation and reliable contact ability.

Responsibilities

• Make conveyor repairs such as belt repair, motor replacement, bearing replacement, etc.
• Perform routine maintenance - oiling, greasing, adjustments, etc
• Building repairs - racking repairs, concrete repairs, misc. fixtures, etc
• Complete assigned projects - lighting installs, equipment installs, construction, tear outs, etc.
• Work as a team to carry out tasks requiring more than one person
• Learn operation of sorter and overall conveyor system
• Plumbing work, including drain issues and stopped up toilets
• Operate various equipment - sitdown lifts, reach trucks, stock pickers, scissor lift, man lift, battery station, etc.
• Other misc. tasks as assigned
