Job summary

Tesco Ireland is seeking a Line Manager for Waterford to lead a department and a team to deliver the best shop for our customers. You will coach, train, drive KPIs, ensure standards, and support colleagues with development, while upholding Tesco values and delivering great customer service.

In this role you will ensure excellent service, staff development, and effective execution of seasonal and promotional activities, while maintaining high standards of health and safety and store presentation.

Qualifications

• Must have previous management experience.
• Line Manager role requires demonstrated track record of delivering for customers and colleagues.
• Go To person for all queries for your department.
• Previous Retail Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach your team to deliver the best shopping trip for customers.
• Deliver all key performance indicators for your departments.
• Lead a team, making decisions every day that support them to do their jobs.
• Deliver the training plan, ensuring all colleagues receive quality training, are validated to do their job and have an up to date training card.
• Ensure that processes, routines and systems for your departments are completed accurately and at the right time.
• Plan seasonal, trade driving and promotional activities to achieve maximum sales, impact and presentation.
• Ensure safe and legal routines for departments and address issues.
• Provide regular coaching and feedback across the store.
• Coach your team, giving them the confidence to call out behavioural issues and improve the shopping trip for customers.
• Create an environment that encourages innovation and personal growth.
• Role models a culture where customers love to shop and colleagues love to work.
