Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Project Engineer with water/wastewater expertise to lead and deliver mult-disciplinary infrastructure schemes in Ireland. You will manage projects through feasibility to construction, review contractor designs, and support commissioning while coordinating with teams in Ireland and overseas.

You should bring MEICA, civil or process engineering experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication to drive value, risk management, and quality across the project

Qualifications

• Experience on infrastructure projects and/or programme management across the project lifecycle.
• Engineering background in MEICA, civil or process.
• Experience leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to manage a project throughout its lifecycle.
• Experience with large infrastructure projects including delivery, finance and governance is desirable.
• Strong stakeholder management and excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and delivery of water and wastewater schemes from feasibility to detailed design, contractual documents, and construction administration.
• Reviewing designs and documentation from contractors/third parties for accuracy, compliance and value for money.
• Reviewing value engineering proposals and providing technical recommendations to the client.
• Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into budget reviews.
• Provide commissioning, process proving, reporting, and data analysis support.
• Support client in stakeholder activities (design and risk workshops, HAZOPs, ALMs).
• Work with Ireland and overseas teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Understand, communicate and manage project risks.
• Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
