Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Civil Design Engineer with relevant post-graduate experience to join the Water team in the Infrastructure Division in Ireland. You will contribute to the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure for Uisce Éireann and other clients, from feasibility through detailed design and construction.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering and relevant post-graduate experience.
• Experience in design and delivery of water or wastewater projects.
• Ability to prepare civil designs and technical documentation to standard.
• Awareness of NEC, FIDIC, Public Works Contracts and Uisce Éireann documents.
• Knowledge of health and safety and designer duties in the design process.
• Strong communication, planning and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and delivery of water and wastewater projects across feasibility, optioneering, preliminary and detailed design.
• Prepare designs, calculations, drawings, specifications, schedules and contract docs.
• Coordinate design inputs with multidisciplinary stakeholders and clients.
• Understand project scope, contracts, risks and interfaces.
• Own delegated tasks and report progress and issues to the Project Manager.
• Support planning, monitoring and delivery within programme and budget.
• Participate in site visits, surveys and design reviews during construction stages.
• Apply health, safety, sustainability, QA and environmental requirements throughout design.
