Job summary

TOBIN, An AtkinsRéalis Company, seeks a Senior Engineer/Team Lead to join the Water & Utilities Division in Galway. Lead design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure, act as technical lead on Design-Build and traditional contracts, and mentor graduate engineers on a growing team.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage resources and schedules, liaise with clients and authorities, and ensure QA/QC and safety compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status or actively progressing toward chartership.
• 8+ years' experience in water, wastewater or civil infrastructure.
• Experience delivering Design-Build projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of water, wastewater, drainage, and utility infrastructure projects.
• Act as technical lead on Design-Build and traditional contract projects.
• Manage project resources, programme delivery, and technical outputs to ensure high-quality project execution.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and support Project Managers in delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
• Liaise with clients, Uisce Éireann, local authorities, contractors, and key stakeholders.
