Job summary

Veolia Ireland in Kilkenny is seeking a Process Engineer to work across M&E, design, clients and consultants on water and wastewater projects. The role is hybrid with standard hours Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 17:30, and involves design, troubleshooting, and process optimization.

You will contribute to concept designs, detailed process design on live projects, liaise with external suppliers, and ensure compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 3rd level degree in Process or Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years' experience in a similar role.
• Broad knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes.
• Ability to carry out process design and sizing of process elements.
• Demonstrated capability with mathematical tools.
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work across water and wastewater systems.
• Act as Veolia process expertise and client liaison for water and wastewater treatment processes.
• Provide process support and troubleshooting to clients.
• Identify and apply new technologies and solutions to opportunities.
• Carry out concept designs and evaluation of different treatment processes.
• Complete detailed process design on live projects as necessary.
• Provide process support to Veolia operational sites for efficiency projects.
• Work with design team across process, mechanical, electrical, automation and civil disciplines.
• Manage relationships with external suppliers and clients.
• Conduct site surveys.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety requirements.
