Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Ireland is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join our Water team, contributing to the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure for Uisce Éireann and other clients. The role spans feasibility through construction, offering growth in technical and project-delivery expertise within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or closely related discipline.
• Relevant post-graduate experience, preferably with water/wastewater design and delivery.
• Experience preparing civil designs and technical documentation; knowledge of design standards.

Responsibilities

• Support design and delivery across feasibility, optioneering, preliminary and detailed design, procurement and construction.
• Prepare engineering designs, calculations, drawings, specifications, schedules and contract documents.
• Coordinate design inputs with multidisciplinary colleagues, clients, contractors and stakeholders.
• Understand project scope, deliverables, contracts, risks and interfaces.
• Take ownership of tasks and communicate progress, risks and issues to Project Manager.
• Support planning, monitoring and delivery of work packages within programme, budget and quality.
• Participate in site visits, surveys, design reviews and construction-stage activities.
• Apply health and safety, sustainability, QA and environmental requirements throughout design.
