Job summary

AECOM Ireland is seeking a Technical Director to lead the water sector in Dublin, combining strategic oversight, technical direction, and business development to drive growth and excellence across projects from feasibility through construction.

The successful candidate will manage a multi-disciplinary team, strengthen client relationships, and guide innovative solutions while maintaining delivery on time and budget in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of operating within the island of Ireland and understanding of the water industry and Uisce Éireann.
• Chartered Civil Engineer; senior leadership experience in consultancy or contracting environments.
• Demonstrated experience in business development and bidding; strong client relationship history.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for water/wastewater schemes across feasibility to construction.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring design integrity, safety, quality, and compliance.
• Drive business development and bid leadership to grow AECOM’s footprint in Ireland Water sector.
• Mentor regional staff and foster an innovative, collaborative team culture.
