Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant experience: 1–2 years in waste management or related environments (pharma/production/petrochemical).
• Chemical handling: Experience or knowledge preferred.
• Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication.
• Computer skills: Proficient in MS Office tools.
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in operations.
• Forklift licence: Advantage if held.
• Additional knowledge: DGSA/ADR/IMDG knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Follow site safety procedures and training.
• Coordinate waste movements (hazardous and non-hazardous) from the site with teams, customers, hauliers, and vendors.
• Act as main waste contact for all movements.
• Ensure correct signage, labeling at storage locations.
• Store waste materials in designated stock locations and manage containers.
• Prepare waste for safe and compliant transport.
• Maintain waste records for compliance and customer requirements.
• Support audits and attend waste-related meetings.
• Provide customer training on waste handling practices.
