Job summary

Fastway in Ireland is seeking a full-time Shift Supervisor for the Dublin area. You will lead a skilled depot team, ensure accurate freight handling and KPI achievement, and liaise with management to address issues. A forklift certificate is preferred and strong English is required.

The role features split shifts (5am-10am and 3pm-6pm) with on-site duties and opportunities to contribute to a wellness program and bike-to-work scheme.

Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience (3+ years) and strong safety awareness.
• Proven problem solving and people management abilities.
• Good knowledge of Irish geography and depot coverage areas.
• Proficient with computers (Excel, email, reporting platforms, CRM).
• Excellent written and spoken English for daily communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily depot operations and ensure timely courier collections.
• Monitor KPI targets and ensure safe, efficient handling of goods.
• brief couriers on returns and resolve issues with the team.
• maintain clean, organized warehouse and working areas at all times.

Due to continued growth, Fastway is seeking full-time, positive individuals to join our dedicated team on a split shift, in our Depot in Santry, Dublin 9. The successful candidate will be joining an experienced, skilled, and dedicated team who strive to provide excellent service to our clients, and parcel receivers alike.We are looking for an individual who have a passion for helping others, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

The duties of the Shift Supervisor role include:

• Ensuring daily collections are downloaded, printed and distributed as per process to couriers.
• Ensure all freight from night sort is staged in courier bays.
• Monitor NDD and 24 hours parcels to ensure onboard for delivery
• Ensure van audits are carried out
• Debrief couriers on their return to depot
• Adhere to Health & Safety Procedures at all times
• Ensuring the Depot meets it's KPIs
• Liaising with Depot Management and Regional Team to work through any issues
• Maintain Warehouse and working areas in a clean and orderly fashion at all times
• Ensure the safe and efficient handling of customers goods / freight at all times
• Ensure all freight is sorted and organised correctly to minimise misroutes
• Ensure accurate scanning of all freight in order to ensure depot efficiency
• Ensure that PPE is worn at all times
• Work effectively as part of a team
  
• Agree action plan to address poor performance and monitor impact
• Ensure cages are cleared of rubbish when placing down for next shift

The Successful candidate must have:

• Have a commercially acceptable level of English (spoken and written)
• Proficient on computers (Excel, Email, Reporting platforms, CRM systems)
• Previous supervisory experience (3 years +)
• Safety Awareness
• Knowledge of Irish geography and specifically depot coverage areas
• Previous logistics industry experience
• Problem Solving and People Management experience

Hours of Work

Split Shift: 5am-10am, 3pm-6pm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
