Job summary

The Door Centre – Galway is seeking a reliable Warehouse Operative / Delivery Driver to join our busy Galway team. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Galway, primarily a warehouse position with occasional local deliveries.

You will handle goods in, goods out, picking orders, stock control and use our ERP system to manage transactions. We value a strong work ethic, teamwork and a commitment to keeping a clean, well-organised warehouse.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift licence/ticket.
• Full Irish driving licence.
• Aged 25 or over due to company vehicle/insurance requirements.
• Experience in warehouse operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking and processing incoming goods.
• Goods in and goods out; picking and preparing customer orders.
• Preparing and processing customer collections; using ERP system for transactions.
• Loading/unloading deliveries and operating a forklift safely.
• Maintaining a very clean, organised warehouse and stock locations.
• Assisting with occasional local deliveries and warehouse supervision support.

Full-Time | Permanent

Salary: €33,000–€36,000 per year, depending on experience

The Door Centre is looking for a reliable, hardworking and organised Warehouse Operative / Delivery Driver to join our busy warehouse team in Galway.

This is primarily a warehouse operative position, with occasional local deliveries when required. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of warehouse operations including goods in, goods out, picking customer orders, customer collections, stock handling and maintaining a very clean and organised warehouse.

We are looking for someone with a great attitude and strong work ethic who takes pride in their work, works well as part of a team and is willing to get stuck in wherever needed.

The Role

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Receiving, checking and processing incoming goods
• Goods in and goods out
• Picking and preparing customer orders accurately
• Preparing and processing customer collections
• Using our ERP/computer system for collections and warehouse transactions
• Loading and unloading supplier deliveries and company vehicles
• Operating a forklift safely
• Putting stock away correctly and maintaining organised stock locations
• Checking orders carefully before collection or dispatch
• Handling doors, flooring and other products carefully to prevent damage
• Assisting customers collecting orders from the warehouse
• Carrying out occasional local deliveries in a company vehicle
• Assisting the Warehouse Supervisor with the day-to-day running of the warehouse
• Helping with stock checks and general warehouse organisation
• Maintaining a very clean, tidy and well-organised warehouse at all times
• Regular sweeping, cleaning and removal of packaging and waste as part of normal daily duties
• Keeping aisles, loading areas, collection areas and storage locations clear and organised
• General warehouse duties and helping the team with anything else required

Previous experience as a warehouse operative, stores operative, forklift driver, delivery driver, goods-in operative or similar warehouse role would be an advantage.
