Job description

Warehouse Operative

Required for a busy warehouse in the Thurles area, immediate start. The role will include checking deliveries, stock movement, picking and packing orders for our customers to deadlines and keeping paperwork accurate and up-to-date. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of all warehouse operations in a fast paced, busy and dynamic workplace.

Please note - this role is based in THURLES, CO TIPPERARY. Please only apply if you can work at this location. Immediate start.

Duties
  • Assist with all shipping, receiving, and inventory organization operations
  • Help to efficiently carry out all product loading and unloading tasks
  • Picking and packing outgoing with the aim to have all orders out same day.
  • Receive and process new inventory, ensuring contents match manifest documents
  • Inspect receivables for defects, damages, or missing items. Ensure batch numbers correspond to product received.
  • Properly book in stock into Herbst System with correct expiry dates
  • Unload, stack, move, and place products in designated areas
  • Move and transfer products between various sections of the warehouse as needed
  • Use forklifts, pallet jacks, hand carts, etc. to transfer and deliver goods
  • Perform detailed manual inventory counts as required
  • Correct stock locations in the Herbst system as required
  • Double-check items to verify the accuracy of outgoing orders
  • Ensure tools and equipment are kept clean and in working order and report any equipment malfunctions or issues to line manager.
  • Follow all warehouse policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Adhere to health and safety rules and regulations at all times
  • Wear protective clothing and equipment as required
  • Operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently according to company protocol
  • Help to foster a positive team spirit within the warehouse and work with other team members to effectively complete assigned tasks.
  • Any other reasonable request from your manager
Requirements
  • Warehouse experience preferential but not mandatory
  • Good level of IT profiency, with the ability to quickly learn the operation of our internal warehouse IT system
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and having a strong work ethic are essential characteristics for the successful candidate to demonstrate.
