Job summary

Next Generation in Dublin’s biotech supply chain is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to join a regulated manufacturing environment in Swords. You will handle materials from receipt to dispensing, ensuring GMP compliance, accurate inventory and safe handling.

You'll work with SAP/COMET, MES and LIMS, use forklifts, maintain records, and contribute to Lean Six Sigma improvements while staying onsite in Swords, Dublin. Prior warehouse or pharmaceutical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, materials, logistics, manufacturing or pharmaceutical operations.
• ,
• Experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical/biotech environment is advantageous.
• Experience with raw-material weighing, dispensing or sampling is beneficial.
• Relevant forklift or material-handling certification is advantageous.
• Experience with SAP or warehouse management systems.
• Exposure to MES and/or LIMS.
• Experience with inventory management, put-away, picking, distribution or shipping.
• Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Receive, identify, inspect, record and store incoming materials.
• Safely handle, move and supply raw materials to internal teams in accordance with procedures.
• Perform raw-material sampling, including Raman RapID spectroscopy testing where required.
• Weigh and dispense raw materials within controlled dispensing areas.
• Pick and prepare materials required for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Support the movement and shipment of drug substance and other materials.
• Operate warehouse equipment including reach trucks, VNA trucks and motorised pallet trucks.
• Use SAP/COMET, MES and LIMS to manage inventory, dispensing, sampling and material transactions.
• Follow SOPs, GMP and safety requirements.
• Identify and contribute to productivity, cost-efficiency, Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives.

Warehouse Operative

What if your warehouse and materials experience could take you into a highly regulated biotech manufacturing environment - while giving you hands‑on exposure to GMP operations, pharmaceutical dispensing, raw-material management and advanced warehouse systems?

This is an opportunity to join a high-performing pharmaceutical manufacturing team supporting operations at a biotech facility in Swords, Dublin.

Working alongside experienced Warehouse, Manufacturing, Quality and technical professionals, you'll play an important role in ensuring the right materials are received, sampled, dispensed, stored and supplied to manufacturing safely, accurately and in accordance with GMP requirements.

What you'll achieve (and why it matters)

• Receive, identify, inspect, record and store incoming materials.
• Safely handle, move and supply raw materials to Manufacturing, Laboratories, MS&T and other internal teams in accordance with approved procedures.
• Perform raw-material sampling, including Raman RapID spectroscopy testing where required.
• Weigh and dispense raw materials within controlled dispensing areas.
• Pick and prepare materials required for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Support the movement and shipment of drug substance and other materials.
• Operate warehouse equipment including reach trucks, VNA trucks and motorised pallet trucks.
• Operate dispensing equipment such as downflow booths, scales, drum tippers and drum-handling equipment.
• Use SAP/COMET, MES and LIMS to manage inventory, dispensing, sampling and material transactions.
• Maintain accurate inventory, material status, labelling and transaction records.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organisation and compliance.
• Follow all SOPs, GMP and safety requirements.
• Identify and contribute to productivity, cost-efficiency, Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the review and updating of warehouse and dispensing procedures when required.

Your edge (desired, not required)

• Experience in warehouse, materials, logistics, manufacturing or pharmaceutical operations.
• Experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology or similarly controlled environment is advantageous.
• Experience with raw-material weighing, dispensing or sampling is beneficial.
• Experience handling materials used in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Experience operating reach trucks, counterbalance forklifts, VNA trucks or motorised pallet trucks.
• Relevant forklift or material-handling certification is advantageous.
• Experience with SAP or warehouse management systems.
• Exposure to MES and/or LIMS.
• Experience with goods receipt, inventory management, put-away, picking, distribution or shipping.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement is advantageous.
• A Level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline would be beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Clear communication and a collaborative approach.
• Reliable, proactive and safety-conscious.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Physically capable of warehouse duties, including lifting up to approximately 50 lbs / 23 kg.
• Comfortable working fully onsite in Swords, Dublin.
