Job summary

MSD Ireland in Dunboyne, Co. Meath, is seeking a Warehouse Technician to manage Goods Receipting, sampling, picking, and shipping within a GMP environment. You will be the ERP and LIMS SME, support continuous improvement, and participate in audits and training initiatives.

The role emphasises Safety, GMP compliance, and cross-functional collaboration with Manufacturing and Quality teams. A 1–2 year GMP background and Education Level 4 are required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of GMP-regulated production environment experience.
• Education Level 4 – minimum.
• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
• Experience using ERP systems at a manufacturing site.
• Experience using Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to promote an inclusive culture.
• Forklift license is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Execute Goods Receipting activities.
• Execute Sampling activities using ANSI method.
• Execute Picking and Kitting for Manufacturing material requests.
• Execute Cycle Counting activities.
• Outbound Shipping and Logistics, including dangerous goods; support Drug Substance packout.
• Document material offload checks and sampling on eLogs.
• Be a key user of SAP-based ERP system COMET and GLIMS LIMS.
• Support continuous improvement within Material Availability hub.
• Act as SME for Quality Event Investigations.
• Train others as a Qualified Trainer for Warehouse activities.
• Maintain high Safety and GMP compliance.
• Pursue performance improvements through cross-functional training.
• Own SOPs for an operational area and update training packages.
• Specialize in Cell Bank Management, Cold Chain Logistics, Material Management, or ERP superuser roles.
• Participate in Audits and GEMBAs as SME and support problem-solving.
• Participate in Material Availability Board meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

By integrating leading-edge technology with a dynamic, activity-based workspace, the facility supports seamless connection and collaboration within and across teams and functions. Our Dunboyne facility provides Biologics Drug Substance manufacturing for Clinical Supply, Registration, and Commercial Launch.

Warehouse Technician

Bring energy, knowledge, and innovation to carry out the following:

• Execute Goods Receipting activities.
• Execute Sampling activities using the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) method.
• Execute Picking and Kitting activities for Manufacturing material requests.
• Execute Cycle Counting activities.
• Execute Outbound Shipping and Logistics activities, including dangerous goods. Support the packout of Drug Substance.
• Document material offload checks and sampling activities on eLogs.
• Key user of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, COMET (SAP).
• Key user of the Laboratory Management system, GLIMS.
• Support an environment of continuous improvement by participating in and driving innovative activities and ideas in the Material Availability hub to help improve the value stream.
• Support Quality Event Investigations by providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge.
• Act as a Qualified Trainer for Warehouse activities.
• Maintain and support a high standard of Safety and GMP compliance.
• Actively seek out performance improvement opportunities through cross-functional training and experience.
• Own Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for an operational area in the Warehouse and modify training packages as required.
• Specialize in one operational area in the Warehouse: Cell Bank Management, Cold Chain Logistics, Material Management, ERP System Superuser.
• Actively participate in Audits and GEMBAs as an SME and support Shopfloor problem-solving.
• Actively participate in the Material Availability Tier 0 Board and the Material Availability Tier 1 Board.
• Perform any other duties assigned.
