Job summary

Carleton Cakes is seeking a Warehouse Manager in Cootehill to lead a busy warehouse operation and a small team. You will drive stock control, dispatch, and continuous improvement while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires hands-on management, experience in food industry warehousing, and proficiency with WMS/ERP systems. On-site work with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse or distribution leadership.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.
• Experience in supply chain planning and logistics.
• Continuous improvement mindset and problem-solving ability.
• Proficiency with WMS/ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Counterbalance and reach forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including goods in, picking, dispatch, and returns per SOPs.
• Lead and develop a team of about 4 warehouse staff.
• Monitor stock accuracy with regular counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Plan resources (labour, equipment, space) to meet demand.
• Set, monitor, and report KPIs on productivity, accuracy, costs, service levels.
• Develop warehouse strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain audit-ready warehouse for customer/regulatory inspections.
• Investigate deviations, implement CAPA, ensure compliance.
• Manage relationships with transport providers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
