Job summary

DELI LITES IRELAND is seeking a Warehouse Loader to support efficient preparation, loading and dispatch of orders. You will pick and prepare orders, ensure accuracy, and assist with safe vehicle loading in a busy Dublin warehouse.

Essential duties include verifying orders, maintaining a tidy loading bay, and complying with Health & Safety procedures while supporting deliveries and stock control.

Responsibilities

Description

Role:

As a Warehouse Loader, you will play a key role in supporting the efficient preparation, loading and dispatch of DELI LITES’ award-winning food products. You will be responsible for picking and preparing orders accurately, checking orders before they travel, loading vehicles in the correct delivery drop sequence, and helping maintain a safe, tidy and efficient warehouse and yard environment.

This role exists to support the smooth operation of the warehouse and transport function, ensuring customer orders are prepared, checked, loaded and dispatched to the required standard while maintaining safety, accuracy, quality and operational standards.

You will contribute to the business by helping driver’s complete deliveries efficiently, reducing failed deliveries through accurate loading and order checking, and reflecting DELI LITES’ core values of quality, legality and authenticity in all aspects of your work.

Your Duties:

• Load vehicles in the correct delivery drop sequence so drivers can unload efficiently at each stop.
• Check orders against paperwork or scanner before they go on the vehicle, flagging discrepancies promptly rather than allowing incorrect orders to travel.
• Move vans and light commercial vehicles within the yard, including repositioning for loading, moving vehicles to bays and parking vehicles up safely.
• Pick and prepare orders to the required standard, ensuring correct quantities and undamaged stock.
• Secure loads properly, ensuring loading is neat, tidy and safe for transport.
• Keep the loading bay and yard clear, tidy and free from hazards.
• Report damage, shortages, vehicle defects and near misses promptly to the relevant supervisor.
• Support stock counts and general warehouse housekeeping.
• Follow all company Health & Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene procedures.
• Carry out any other duties, within reason and capability, as determined by your Line Manager.

Essential Qualifications / Experience:

• Full clean driving licence, category B as a minimum, with confidence manoeuvring vans in a tight yard.
• Genuine attention to detail, understanding that loading in the wrong order or missing a line can cause failed deliveries and impact customer relationships.
• Reliability and commitment to turning up on time for every shift.
• Ability to stay focused in a busy environment with deadlines and competing demands.
• Ability to carry out manual handling activities safely and effectively.
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate clearly with drivers and supervisors.

Desired Criteria:

• Previous experience working within a warehouse, logistics, distribution or food production environment.
• Previous experience loading vehicles or preparing orders for dispatch.
• Experience using scanners or paperwork-based order checking processes.

Skills and Competencies:

• Pride in keeping a clean, tidy workspace, recognising that this is essential to a safe and efficient warehouse.
• Physically fit, as the role involves manual handling and being on your feet.
• Able to work as part of a team and communicate clearly with drivers and supervisors.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when picking, checking and loading orders.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining safe working practices.
