Job summary

Rexel in Leixlip, Ireland, is seeking a Warehouse Operative / Driver to support daily warehouse operations, including receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of stock. The role also involves occasional driving for customer deliveries and assisting at the trade counter when required.

The successful candidate will operate a reach truck, perform required stock duties, and work closely with the warehouse team to meet targets while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Full clean Category B driving licence (essential).
• Experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse.
• Understanding of manual handling and warehouse health and safety practices.
• Basic literacy and numeracy for paperwork and stock records.
• Experience using a warehouse management system (WMS) is desirable.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, or weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a reach truck safely to load, unload, and move pallets within racking systems.
• Pick and pack orders accurately in line with WMS instructions.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring goods are secured correctly for transport.
• Carry out customer deliveries and collections as required using company vehicles.
• Carry out general warehouse duties including sorting, labelling, stock rotation and general housekeeping.
• Complete loading manifests, delivery documentation and stock records accurately.
• Conduct daily pre-use checks on the reach truck and company vehicles, reporting any faults immediately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area in line with health and safety standards.
• Assist with stock takes and cycle counts as required.
• Provide support at the trade counter when required, assisting customers and branch colleagues.
• Work collaboratively with the wider warehouse team to meet daily targets and deadlines.
• Always follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
