Rexel/Kellihers Electrical in Celbridge, Co. Kildare, is hiring a Warehouse Operative/Driver to support daily warehouse operations, including pallet handling, order picking, packing, and occasional customer deliveries.

You will work as part of a safety-conscious team, maintain stock records, assist at the trade counter when required, and ensure compliance with health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Full clean Category B driving licence is required.
• Experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse environment is essential.
• Good understanding of manual handling and warehouse health and safety practices.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills for paperwork and stock records.
• Experience using a warehouse management system (WMS) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate a reach truck safely to load, unload, and move pallets within racking systems.
• Pick and pack orders accurately in line with WMS instructions.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring goods are secured for transport.
• Carry out customer deliveries and collections using company vehicles.
• Assist with stock takes and cycle counts as required.
• Provide support at the trade counter when required, assisting customers and branch colleagues.

Job Description

Job Purpose

The Warehouse Operative / Driver is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, ensuring the safe and efficient receipt, storage, picking, packing, and distribution of stock. The role will also involve occasional driving duties to support customer deliveries and, from time to time, assisting at the trade counter when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a reach truck safely to load, unload, and move pallets within racking systems.
• Pick and pack orders accurately in line with warehouse management system (WMS) instructions.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring goods are secured correctly for transport.
• Carry out customer deliveries and collections as required using company vehicles.
• Carry out general warehouse duties including sorting, labelling, stock rotation and general housekeeping.
• Complete loading manifests, delivery documentation and stock records accurately.
• Conduct daily pre-use checks on the reach truck and company vehicles, reporting any faults immediately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area in line with health and safety standards.
• Assist with stock takes and cycle counts as required.
• Provide support at the trade counter when required, assisting customers and branch colleagues.
• Work collaboratively with the wider warehouse team to meet daily targets and deadlines.
• Always follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.

• Able to remain on your feet and operate machinery for extended periods.
