Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking a Privacy Advisory Vice President to support Ireland and European operations from Dublin or Birmingham. You will provide expert privacy guidance to business, engineers and operations, and oversee DPIAs and AI-related assessments to ensure regulatory compliance across the firm.

You will collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Engineering and Risk to design privacy governance, monitor progress and address evolving Irish and EU privacy requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent; legal degree is helpful
• CIPP/E certification is highly preferred
• At least 7 years of work experience, with at least 5 in Privacy/Data Protection
• Experience with EU GDPR, Irish Data Protection Act, ePrivacy, EU AI Act, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead privacy risk identification and strategic assessment across Ireland and Europe
• Scale the firm’s privacy program within European jurisdictions
• Provide expert privacy guidance to business, engineers, operations and compliance
• Oversee privacy risk assessment processes (DPIAs and AI-related assessments)
• Review products and features for Irish/EU privacy compliance
• Counsel cross-functional teams on privacy implications of new initiatives
• Monitor and report on the status of the privacy program to senior management
• Collaborate with Legal, Engineering, Risk and Business units on regulatory changes and tool design
