Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking a Privacy Advisory vice president to join the Global Privacy Office, supporting Ireland and European operations from Dublin or Birmingham. You will provide expert privacy guidance to senior stakeholders and help scale the firm’s privacy program across jurisdictions.

You will work with Legal, Compliance, Engineering, Risk and Business teams to address evolving data protection laws, including EU GDPR and AI-related regulations, and to embed privacy-by-design across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent; legal degree is helpful.
• CIPP/E certification is highly preferred.
• At least 7 years of work experience, with at least 5 in Privacy/Data Protection.
• Experience with privacy laws on local and global level (GDPR, Irish DP Act, ePrivacy, EU AI Act).
• Financial services experience in an Irish or EU-regulated entity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• We are seeking a Privacy Advisory vice president with excellent analytical, communication and co-ordination skills to join the Global Privacy Office.
• Lead identifying and strategic assessment of privacy risks and opportunities across Ireland and Europe.
• Provide expert privacy guidance to business, engineers, operations and compliance teams, incl. AI.
• Oversee privacy risk assessment processes and operational aspects of the program.
• Review products and activities against Irish/EU privacy requirements and standards.
• Counsel cross-functional project teams on privacy implications of new initiatives and regulatory changes.
• Monitor and report to senior management on privacy program status.
