Job summary

Marks & Spencer Dublin on Grafton Street is seeking a highly creative Visual Advisor to join our VM team. You will help implement captivating visual displays and maintain the store’s aesthetic, collaborating with the VM Manager and team to deliver compelling windows and in-store presentations.

The role is a 37.5 hour contract with 16 hours fixed; the remaining 21.5 hours are flexible with at least 3 weeks’ notice. A strong eye for design, organisation, and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in visual merchandising an advantage. A keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail is crucial.
• Knowledge of visual merchandising principles, including colour schemes, composition, and product placement.
• Creativity and the ability to think critically to solve visual challenges and create appealing displays.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively as part of a team and provide feedback on visual merchandising strategies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
• Proficiency in using basic Microsoft teams and Microsoft suite.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift, move, and arrange heavy merchandise and display materials.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Visual Merchandising team in executing and maintaining displays and window installations.
• Collaborate with VM team to implement seasonal and promotional displays per brand guidelines.
• Set up and breakdown displays, including merchandise, props, signage, and lighting.
• Monitor store floor to ensure displays are appealing and stocked.
• Refresh displays to reflect product changes and promotions.
• Keep stockroom organized and accessible for display materials.
• Maintain inventory records for visual display materials; report discrepancies.
• Coordinate with store team to uphold visual standards across the store.
• Stay updated on design trends and retailer developments for improvements.
