Job summary

The role leads a team of 5–10 portfolio managers, coordinates with Treasury on funding, and trains new hires in loan servicing. Strong communication with relationship managers and clients is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in asset management/portfolio monitoring.

• Minimum of 5 years people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and maintain a range of complex loan security types and lifecycle events.
• Manage portfolios for 50–100 facilities across clients to maintain the portfolio.
• Lead a team of 5–10 portfolio managers.
• Support and administer syndicated and/or bilateral loan portfolios.
• Read credit agreements as needed and support software processes.
• Oversee accurate processing of new drawdowns, paydowns, and fees.
• Ensure all monies due are collected and reconciled.
• Coordinate funding with Treasury for the managed portfolio.
• Provide oversight of invoicing and remittance processing.
• Maintain standard processes within a robust control environment and continually improve them.
• Train new hires in standard loan servicing processes.

Job description

Responsibilities

• This role requires the team member to analyze and maintain a range of complex bank loan security types and lifecycle events in support of loan agency administrative functions and documentation preparation.
• Manage multiple clients with portfolios of syndicated and/or bilateral deal portfolios of 50-100 facilities and all associated activities to maintain the portfolio.
• Manage a team of 5-10 portfolio managers.
• Support and administer a syndicated and/or bilateral loan portfolio.
• Read credit agreements preferred, support software processes.
• Oversee accurate processing of new drawdowns, paydowns, and fees for syndicated and bilateral deals.
• Ensure all monies due and payable are collected and/or reconciled.
• Coordinate funding requirements with Treasury Desk for the managed loan portfolio.
• Provide full oversight of invoicing and remittance processing.
• Maintain standard processes within a robust control environment, continually improving or modifying them to support assigned clients.
• Support conduct training of new hires in standard processes, including those without experience in loan servicing or portfolio management.

Requirements

• 4-year college degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in asset management/portfolio monitoring.
• Focused, accurate and detail oriented.
• Team-oriented; willingness to back-up and cross-train on all departmental functions.
• Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing.
• Experienced in effective communication with external and internal customers; has experience interfacing with relationship managers, customers and other related departments.
• Minimum of 5 years of people management experience.
• Experienced in maintaining a control environment and adhering to standard operation procedures.
• Flexible and comfortable adapting to fluid operational requirements and deliverables.
• Sentry PM or Cassiopeia a distinct advantage.
